Go Green! - Making salt crystals and rotocopters
During the last Go Green classes, students explored the topic of growing salt crystals and rotocopters. First, they conducted an experiment in which they saw how salt crystals are formed from a liquid solution. They start growing within a few hours and are getting bigger day by day. Throughout the week, the students watched the water evaporation. As a result, they learned what a saturated solution is and how temperature affects solubility. Their second task was to make a simple paper toy, a robocopter that spins through the air like a miniature helicopter. As is often the case, this time learning became an opportunity to have fun and discover something new.
