Diwali in Da Vinci’s International Primary School
Last week, from Wednesday to Friday, we celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Light in our school. During these days our Indian students told their friends about their traditions and customs. It was a great opportunity to share their culture with others and learn something new.
Among the events prepared for students there was a place for art workshops. During them, it was possible to make Rangoli, traditional Indian decorations, full of many colors and usually placed at the entrance to the house. To create them, students used sand and made their own patterns. With the help of henna and paints, they could also decorate their own hands – this custom is called Mehendi – which many of them gladly did.
We would like to thank all the students and teachers who participated in the event!
