Summer Activities – DYI Week

9th – 13th August – Do It Yourself! Week

We treated the DIY week as a challenge to learn new things. We managed to create our own school garden with herbs and spices, in which there was a place for mint or oregano. We are very proud of it and we will make sure that the plants we plant have the best possible conditions.

We also tried our hand at sewing colorful pillowcases. With the help of a sewing machine, we prepared everything ourselves and thus gained another useful skill.

Summer Activities – Art Week

2nd – 6th August – Art Week

The previous week was devoted to art and artistic experiments. Colorful paints went into motion and the children became real artists. We used the pouring technique to create our works. It means you just pour the paint directly onto the canvas or other surface. This can be done in different ways, making the end result different and unique every time.

Creating our own art

You can see the effects of our work below – we managed to create a whole gallery full of fanciful patterns and colors!

In our artistic challenges, we did not limit ourselves only to the pouring technique. We also spent some time painting holiday landscapes with palm trees. We used acrylic paints for them and we think we captured the atmosphere of holiday evenings in warm countries quite well.

Looking for inspiration in the museums

Being an artist also means wandering in search of inspiration. Our journey took us to the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow. We saw the exhibits there and took part in short workshops. Contact with contemporary art encouraged us to create our own works, this time inspired by the works of Andy Warhol and pop art.

Navya’s Birthday

Happy Birthday, Navya!

Navya also celebrated her birthday in July. On this occasion, a delicious cake and many attractions were prepared for her. The birthday girl appeared in a beautiful dress in which she looked like a real princess.

We wish Navya all her dreams come true, a lot of joy and all the best!

Alan’s Birthday

Happy Birthday, Alan!

In July, Alan celebrated his birthday. So there was a cake, a big piñata and a lot of fun. During the celebration, the children even went to the school playground to spend time actively there.

Once again, we wish Alan all the best, including great friends, happiness and joy!

Summer Activities – Maritime Week

26th – 30th June – Maritime Week

Last week we went to the Yacht Klub Polski Kraków sailing club, where a real adventure awaited us. We have learned a lot: we now know how a sailboat is built, how to steer it, we know the basic sailing weaves, and the most important thing, we learned the basic safety rules of sailing. A real treat was sailing on the Vistula river with a sailboat and a fast motorboat, which caused many positive emotions. A professional sailor, Mrs. Gabrysia, and her mother, Mrs. Monika watched over everything. We would like to thank them for their time – it was great!

Later, at school, inspired by the adventure on the water, we made a project of a lighthouse and our own miniature boats. As usual, the students showed their creativity in this task.
