Summer mural

Our students created summer mural!

During June, 6th and 7th grade students have been working on summer mural that would remind everyone of this warm time of the year and travels. Not only were they able to do something that would go beyond the school walls, but they also had the opportunity to have a great time. After all, it is not possible to paint on a container outdoors every day.

The whole action was supervised by our amazing and talented art teachers – Agnieszka and Karolina. With their help, the students could make a mural from scratch and see how such things are done in practice. We would like to thank them for their idea and initiative, and congratulate the students on a well-made project!

Below you can see a gallery with photos from the mural creation. It is also possible to admire it live. All you have to do is go for a walk to Bagry in Cracow. The mural is located on the premises of the Żeglarski Klub HORN (HORN Sailing Club).

Summer Activities – Science Week

19th – 23rd July – Science Week

We covered a lot of interesting topics during Science Week. We learned about extreme atmospheric phenomena, did a jar tornado experiment, and created beautiful posters. With so many different activities, everyone could find something for themselves.

We also went to the Stanisław Lem Science Garden in Cracow, where we could use various devices to learn and understand some laws of nature. We got acquainted with a rainbow prism, Newton’s disk, we looked into a kaleidoscope of mirrors in which we could see countless versions of our own reflections, and we discovered many other devices presenting various physical phenomena. There was time to have fun too, because there was a huge playground in the Science Garden. It was an eventful day, and at the end no one wanted to go back home yet.

We remind you that you still can see what we were doing during previous weeks of summer holidays.

Summer Activities – ‘In the saddle’ Week

12th – 16th July – ‘In the saddle’ Week

Last week we went on a trip to the Kiemliczówka Stables, where the children had the opportunity to spend time in the company of horses. The most anticipated part of the program was, of course, riding these animals, but there were also other attractions waiting for the students. The children learned how to groom and saddle the horses, they also had the opportunity to feed them. They learned that it is not enough to jump on the horse’s back to ride it, but it should be prepared in advance. We really would like to thank the Kiemliczówka Stables for their time!

On the occasion of the trip, the children could also show their creativity. Each horse was given a colored plate with its own name that they created. Later, it was time for hand-made puzzles about horses, which allowed children to learn about the breeds of horses, their types of color and special characters.

We also encourage you to see what we did during Nature Week and IT Week.

Summer Activities – Nature Week

5th – 9th July – Nature Week

Taking advantage of the warm weather, we spent several days outdoors. The Nature Week has become a great opportunity for walks among the greenery, a few field trips and learning more about plants.

Zoo Field Trip

One of the greatest attractions was probably the trip to the Zoological Garden in Krakow. Children could get a close look at various animals and learn something new about them. We watched giraffes, meerkats and even wild cats – from a safe distance, of course. We could also admire the beautiful tails of peacocks wandering proudly along the alleys.

Botanic Garden

There was also interest in plants. In the Botanic Garden of the Jagiellonian University, we found relaxation from everyday hustle and bustle and we were able to establish even greater contact with nature. Children could see for themselves how amazing flora can be.

Nature exercises

The other activities also provided the children with a lot of entertainment. Planting flowers and collecting leaves allowed them to get to know these plants better, to see what they look like and what their features are. Thus, we used the practical dimension of science. The children could check their knowledge on specially prepared worksheets, and at the end of the nature week, everyone received a diploma for participation.

And HERE you can check what we did last week. It was focused on computer science and robotics.

School Playground Construction

Work in progress!

Last month, we shared information about the beginning of work on the construction of a school playground at Pilotów Street. Today we can boast about the next stage of activities. The area for the playground has already been paved and further works will begin soon. The moment we play football here is getting closer!

And HERE you can see how the work started.

Summer Activities – IT Week

28th June – 2nd July – IT Week

The first week of summer activities was devoted to programming and robotics. Together with the students, we built walking, glowing and drawing robots, making good use of our creativity. We also tried to make our own games. Although it was not without computers and looking at their screens, we did not forget about movement and having fun outdoors.

Aryan’s Birthday

Happy birthday!

Before the holidays began, our students had met to celebrate Aryan’s birthday together. It was a nice time for everyone, and the piñata was a lot of fun for students. Once again, we wish Aryan all the best!
